Action Network Help & FAQs

The data sharing card

You may be asking yourself, "If a user can be signed up to multiple lists on one action, won't they be surprised and get angry about the spam?" That's why on every form we have what we call a data sharing card -- a section that tells users exactly what lists they'll be signing up for when they take action (and why they're being signed up), as well as letting them opt out if they choose.

You can see the data sharing card at the bottom of each form on the right of your action pages -- it will list the reasons why an activist will receive updates from an organizer or group (ex: because they created the action, or they're the referrer, or they're the sponsoring group).
