You can manually add transactions to an activist's record, and edit any transactions that occurred outside of our system (manually uploaded, manually entered, sent in over the API, or from Salesforce). This is done when viewing an activist's record.
To add a new transaction (ex: the activist sent you a check and you'd like to record the amount in their record so you can target them as a donor for email), click the "+ Transaction" button in the donations section on the activist's record. Enter an amount and an optional recurring period to mark the donation as recurring or not, as well as a date the transaction occurred (leave blank for today), then save to add the transaction. Transactions entered like this will work like donations created through our fundraising pages directly -- if you target an email or report to all donors, for example, this activist will be targeted.
You can edit transactions that occurred outside of our system (manually uploaded, manually entered, sent in over the API, or from Salesforce) by clicking on the edit icon next to the transaction in the donations section of the activist's record. You can edit the amount or the recurring period or the date, including making the amount $0 to represent some type of refund.
