Queries allow you to use our standard filters (such as email history or zip/postal code radius), but linked together with different AND and OR logic than is possible using our standard targeting interface. For example, where our targeting interface makes it easy to include activists on your list who live in New York AND have signed a certain petition, targeting activists who live in New York OR signed a certain petition is not easily achieved without queries.
You can create a query to use for targeting mass email or reports by clicking the "Create Query" link in the People tab in the Start Organizing menu.
Next, choose a list (either your personal list or groups you are an administrator of) to create a query for. You will see a table of all queries for that list, and you can edit, duplicate, or delete them by clicking the respective buttons.
To create a new query, click the "Add New Query" button.
Example query: 60 day actives.
After your query is created, you can 'Save and Count' the query, which will show you the number of activists targeted in that query for the subscription statuses you're including.
