When does the pricing change take effect?
This pricing change will take effect on May 27th, 2025. Partners will be charged at the new rate on the same day of the month that their partnership renews every month.
How do you determine pricing?
Pricing is based on usage, defined by monthly email volume. Your payment changes month to month based on how many emails you sent that billing period.
What plans are affected by this pricing change?
All current Movement and Actions Only partnerships will be affected. Current Network partner pricing remains the same. If your group has negotiated rates with Action Network, these will stay the same. Action Network offers negotiated rates to groups with large email volumes (over 500,000 emails/month). What are the new rates?
For new and existing Movement partners, the minimum payment is $15/month which covers up to 12,000 emails. You'll be charged $1.25/thousand additional emails you send.
For new and existing Actions Only partners, the minimum payment is $15/month which covers up to 2,000 actions. You'll be charged $7.50/thousand additional actions taken.
For new Network partners, the minimum payment is $125/month which covers up to 50,000 emails. You'll be charged $2.50/thousand additional emails sent. Prices for existing network partners WILL NOT change.
How does billing work?
We use a subscription based billing tool, Chargebee, to bill our partners based on monthly usage. Whichever email is used to set up the initial payment will receive monthly email receipts, though you have the ability to add additional recipients. The payment amount will change month to month but will be processed at the same time each month to ensure your group has access to the partner features.
How do I log into the billing portal to manage my payment?
You can login here to manage your payment in the Chargebee billing portal. In the portal you will be able to change your payment details, transfer the payment to a new point of contact, download receipts, and add additional receipt recipients.
The billing portal says I don't have an account. How do I access the billing portal?
Your billing and Action Network accounts are separate and may be linked to different users/log ins. Reach out to other folks on your team to check if they set up your partnership with their email address. If you still can't find the billing log in, reach out to partners@actionnetwork.org from your administrator email address and we'll be able to help you.
How do I change my billing contact?
Login to the billing portal here to change the billing point of contact on the partnership. Reach out to partners@actionnetwork.org to add an additional receipt point of contact.
My list is growing. How will this impact my Action Network rate?
As your list size increases, you will likely be sending out a higher volume of email each month. This means your monthly payment will increase as well. You can check in on your email volume by downloading your email stats from the Emails and Reports tab of your Group Manage page. Email us directly at partners@actionnetwork.org if you have any questions about this!
How do I view my Action Network receipt?
We send your Action Network receipt via email each month when the payment is processed. You can login to the billing portal here to view and download past receipts.
What is included in my paid partnership?
A paid partnership gives your group access to all partnership features, including the ability to upload lists, create page and email wrappers, use our ladders and event campaign features, and access the API and sync. You can view a full list here.
How do I cancel my partnership?
You can cancel your paid partnership at any time. You can continue to store your data on Action Network for free, however, you won’t be able to send emails until you restart your paid partnership. Any short codes or mobile numbers will be permanently lost when you cancel your mobile partnership. You own your own data, so you can always do a full export of your database. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal using the billing email address.
