You can target mobile messages by what carrier your activist use such as Verizon, AT&T, etc. This is useful if a carrier changes requirements for things like opt out language. For example, one carrier may require opt-out language that says 'Reply STOP to unsubscribe', while another requires 'Stop2Quit'. Targeting by carrier will allow you to send different messages with the correct language to each carrier's users.
Using this feature will incur a fee of $.005385/number lookup. This means once Carrier LookUp is enabled, you'll be charged this fee whenever a new number is added to your group. When it is turned on, we will backfill all existing mobile numbers, and then look it up for all new numbers as well. This may take several minutes depending on the size of your list. After this is done once for an activist, you'll be able to use this data to target emails, mobile messages, and reports for free moving forward.
To enable Carrier Lookup, go to the Settings tab in the Group Manage page. Under the Mobile Messaging Settings section, there will be a checkbox you can tick to enable this.
When this is turned on a new targeting filter will appear for queries, ladders, reports, emails, and mobile messages.
You can see this data when hovering over someone's phone number in their Activist Record.
If a number is shared between multiple groups, only the main group can enable or disable carrier tracking. If the root group enables it, it is turned on for every group sharing that number.
